For Clergy and Congregations
We in the LC-I know that many congregations and clergy are concerned over developments in Lutheranism today, especially in the USA and Canada. The LC-I offers a home for those who have found their current church body to have drifted away from from them.

There are currently 84 rostered leaders (teachers, deaconnesses, deacons, pastors, bishops) serving in the LC-I.

There are communities of faith in the USA, Canada, Venezuela, Spain, Ghana, Kenya, Singapore, and Myanmar. New congregations are being started or joining the LC-I every month.

Founded in 1967 from strong Swedish roots as a fellowship of pastors, the LC-I has grown to become a full denomination, with services and support for congregations, foreign and domestic missionaries, chaplaincies, schools, and much more.

The headquarters of the LC-I is located in Springfield, Illinois, and the Office of the Secretary is in Baltimore, Maryland.

Congregations and communities of faith maintain title to all property. In the event a community wishes to depart from the LC-I, the process is simple and straightforward, and conducted in a spirit of true Christian love..Neither the church headquarters nor any diocese will ever attempt to seize assets of a member congregation.
